After Thanksgiving Hike and Campout
Shelby Forest is scheduled to open up the RV/Tent campground sometime around the middle of November! This newly renovated campground will be awesome and a jewel for the Memphis area!
This is great timing for a Thanksgiving weekend campout! Lets save the date for a Thanksgiving weekend campout. Arrive whenever you like, stay as long as you like, wear your Gone for Adventure shirts and post your Gone for Adventure flags.
Friday morning @ 9:00 am we will hike with the ranger on the woodland trail 3.5 miles for the day after Thanksgiving hike (meet at the woodland trailhead). Free registration for the ranger hike. https://tnstateparks.com/.../event_details/meeman-shelby/...
Saturday morning we will hike the Pioneer Springs Trail 4 miles (meet at the nature center).
We will cookout pot luck style (bring your left overs too!) Friday and Saturday night. Ya'll come by and hike for the day, eat in the evening, stay for the night. Bring camping gear, campfire wood and a chair. Invite friends and get your family outside! Happy trails...lets go!
